Members from BINI and BGYO graduated from senior high school.

BINI members Maloi Ricalde and Colet Vergara and BGYO members Gelo Rivera, Mikki Claver, and JL Toreliza graduated from Japan Philippine Institute of Technology in Bulacan  on Friday, June 7. 

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Maloi remarked that it has always been their goal to finish high school despite their busy schedule.



"Actually ito rin 'yung parang isa sa mga gusto naming mangyari, 'yung maka-graduate kami kahit na busy kami talagang nai-push namin," Maloi said.

Both Maloi and Colet would like to pursue a college education.

Maloi shared that she wants to take up multimedia arts or fine arts. Meanwhile, Colet wants to pursue a medical course like psychology, pharmacy, or dentistry.

On what message they want to impart to their fans with the new milestone they achieved, Maloi replied: "Marami talagang pressure sa mundo, pero you have to remember always na ang buhay ay di karera. Kung gusto mo talaga, magagawan at magagawan ng paraan hangga't gusto mo."



The BGYO members also want to pursue college after completing high school.

Gelo shared that he is considering taking up multimedia or a business course, while JL aspires to take up an engineering course. Mikki wants to pursue architecture or interior design.

Fans of BINI and BGYO extended their congratulatory messages for the singers.

"Congrats BINI and BGYO graduates!" one fan said.

"Kaka-proud naman," one fan commented.

Colet and Maloi made their debut as part of BINI in June 2021 with the release of their single "Born to Win."

Recently, the nation's girl group reached more than 6 monthly listeners on Spotify.

BINI was also named by Teen Vogue as one of the "12 girl groups to watch in 2024."

The magazine acknowledged that the group's hit song "Pantropiko" reached the top of the Billboard Philippines chart, while BINI's new single "Salamin, Salamin" secured the second spot on the same chart.

Meanwhile, Gelo, Mikki, and JL made their debut as part of BGYO on January 2021 with the release of their single "The Light."

The group recently released their new single "Gigil."
