Bugoy Cariño’s daughter, Scarlet Cariño, is set to join the new generation of Goin’ Bulilit kids, making her TV debut in the beloved kiddie gag show.

The announcement, made on June 21, has generated excitement among fans eager to see the new faces.

This moment is particularly special for Bugoy Cariño, who started his career on Goin’ Bulilit. Seeing his daughter follow in his footsteps on the same show is a full circle moment for the actor.

A glimpse at Bugoy’s Instagram account gives a sneak peek at the proud dad. In one reel, Bugy shows off the dancing skills of his unica hija.

“Napatulala nalang talaga ako, mas alam nya ung steps saken,” he posted.

Bugoy and EJ Laure first revealed they had a daughter, on Bugoy’s 18th birthday in 2020. The couple got engaged on September 4, 2023 during Bugoy’s birthday celebration.

His posts also reveal the bonding moments of their family, the most recent of which was a trip to Japan earlier in June 2024 where they made sure to stop at Tokyo Disneyland.

Scarlet will be joining other young talents, including It’s Showtime kids Argus, Kulot, Imogen, Jaze, and Kelsey.

The original plan was to cast 20 kids, including those from It’s Showtime, but the overwhelming turnout of talented children at the open auditions led the production to increase the number to 30. Around 4,000 kids gathered in Quezon City last May to audition for a spot in the new Goin’ Bulilit lineup.

This new cast also features several celebrity kids. Loisa Andalio’s nephew Lucas Andalio and Daniel Padilla’s nephew Jordan Lim are among the notable additions.

Jordan, who returns to Goin’ Bulilit at ten years old, shared his feelings about being the oldest in the group this time around.

“Dati po, I think I was almost the youngest pero now, I’m the oldest. Nakaka-shock po din,” he said, expressing his surprise at his new role as the "kuya” of the group.

The new cast also includes young actors from the successful series Can’t Buy Me Love. Jeremiah Cruz and Chastity Dizon, known for their roles as the young Bingo Mariano and Caroline Tiu, respectively, also bring their talents to the show.

Chastity openly admires Belle Mariano for her acting skills, especially in emotional and antagonist roles.

“Kasi po magaling po siya mag-arte tapos po umiyak at (mag) kontrabida po,” she explained.

The new generation of Goin’ Bulilit will begin to air daily before TV Patrol, beginning July 1.
