Renz Joshua Baña aka Baby Giant shared that Coco Martin paved the way for him to be part of the new edition of Goin' Bulilit.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Baby Giant shared that it was Coco who referred him to Goin' Bulilit director Bobot Mortiz.

"Ni-recommend po ako, tinawagan po ako ni Direk Coco, and then sabi po niya, ibibigay niya nga raw po 'yung number ko kay Direk Bobot. Si Direk Coco po talaga ang naging daan, ipinasa po niya ang number ko sa kanila po," he said.

The actor-content creator remarked that it was also Coco who opened the doors for him to enter show business. Baby Giant is also currently part of the hit primetime series FPJ's Batang Quiapo.

"Hindi ko ma-explain na eto magagawa ko 'yung ganito na makakapasok ako ng showbiz na dati hindi ko naman talaga insahan na makakapasok ako dito, pero ngayon andito na ako dahil 'yun sa kaniya," saad pa nito.

Baby Giant relayed that he underwent some adjustments when he started taping for Goin' Bulilit as the show is far from what he has been doing in Batang Quiapo.

"Yes merong adjustment po na nangyari kasi doon sa Batang Quiapo po, puro action po ang ginagawa namin and then lumipat po ng comedy, pero kahit action o comedy okay na okay po ako doon," he stated.

It was in May when ABS-CBN announced that Goin' Bulilit would be airing on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z and AllTV on July 1.

In a past interview with ABS-CBN News, Bobot shared that he was surprised when ABS-CBN approached him to revive the show.

"Nagulat ako kasi biglaan nga. Pero nakakatuwa naman na maraming excited na mga bata. Ang tagal nawala ang Goin' Bulilit," he said.

He went on: "Aaminin ko, nung nawala 'to kung saan-saan ko 'to inalok, gusto kong gumawa talaga ng Bulilit. Siguro kaya hindi natuloy noon kasi eto talaga siya.”

An audition was held on May 25 at the ABS-CBN compound to search for the next batch of young stars who will be part of the program. Nearly 4,000 kids joined the said audition.

Aside from the new stars from the auditions, It’s Showtime kids Argus, Jaze, Kulot, Kelsey, and Imogen also joined the cast of the new Goin' Bulilit.

It was on February 6, 2005 when Goin' Bulilit first aired on television.

Previous stars of the show included Sharlene San Pedro, Nash Aguas, Mika dela Cruz, Kristel Fulgar, Kathryn Bernardo, and Julia Montes, among others.

Last June 22, former stars and now married couple Nash and Mika visited the set of Goin' Bulilit.

The couple shared their advice to the new generation of Goin' Bulilit stars.

"Siguro sa akin, just enjoy the ride [because] it goes by so quickly. And darating rin ang inyong graduation, kaya just enjoy it and along the way, marami talaga kayong matututunan hindi lang professionally. At the same time, alagaan niyo ang mga friendships na mabubuo niyo dito sa Goin’ Bulilit, respetuhin niyo ang mga staff natin, 'yung pinaka core ng Goin’ Bulilit dahil iba silang mag-alaga, iba silang mag-mahal," Mika said as reported by ABS-CBN News.

Nash added: "You're in good hands, tama si Misis, enjoy niyo lang."
