Actor and TV host Vhong Navarro took to social media on Friday, June 21, to share exciting news about a new movie he's set to do with actress Bea Alonzo.

The film reunites Vhong with director Erik Matti, who helmed his 2004 comedy film Gagamboy.

In an Instagram post, Vhong shared a snapshot featuring himself, Bea, and veteran actors Joey Marquez and Joel Torre, along with Erik Matti.

“Finally! Madi-direk ulit ni Direk Erik Matti since Gagamboy. Maraming salamat sa tiwala! Excited na ako, Direk!” Vhong captioned his post, expressing his excitement about working with the director again after nearly two decades.

Vhong's last film was Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim, which was part of the Metro Manila Film Festival in 2020. The movie showcased his comedic talent and reaffirmed his status as a beloved figure in Philippine cinema.

Bea, meanwhile, continues to expand her impressive portfolio. She will be the lead star in a new show, Widows' War, alongside Carla Abellana.

Erik, known for his critically acclaimed films like On the Job (2013) and Buy Bust (2018), was recently selected to be part of the jury for this year's International Emmy Awards. His involvement in such a prestigious role underscores his standing in the global film community.

In February, Erik announced another collaboration with actress Anne Curtis for an upcoming film.
