After her role in the Star Creatives hit series Can't Buy Me Love as Divine, the mother of Caroline (played by Belle Mariano), Shaina Magdayao takes on the role of Grace Malonzo, the mother figure to lead actor Kyle Echarri who plays Moises. Shaina admitted the role is very special to her because it was also the last project approved by the late Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal who passed away last February.
After her role in the Star Creatives hit series Can't Buy Me Love as Divine, the mother of Caroline (played by Belle Mariano), Shaina Magdayao takes on the role of Grace Malonzo, the mother figure to lead actor Kyle Echarri who plays Moises. Shaina admitted the role is very special to her because it was also the last project approved by the late Dreamscape Entertainment head Deo Endrinal who passed away last February.
“This is the last project of sir Deo (Endrinal) so its very special, hindi ako mapapagod to say na it is a privilege to share a frame of this project with some of the industry's greats na very respected sa industriya and mahihiya ka na hindi maging professional. Hindi lang yung mga bago yung natututo at na-i-inspire kundi pati yung mga ate sa industriya katulad ko. Nakaka-insipire to work kasi everyone is ready (on the set). Lahat pinaghahandaan yung script. Pag matagal ka na sa industriya, pag medyo marami ka ng roles na nagawa, but it’s the collaboration, that is what makes it unique. First time na nagkasama sama kami lahat diro which is why this show is very special and the best,” she shared during the Pamilya Sagrado presscon.

Having to work most closely with her co-stars Kyle Echarri and Joel Torre (the latter plays her drunkard father on the show), Shaina said she was lucky to be cast with good actors.

“Kasi di ba usually nagsisimula tayo ng isang proyekto ine-effort mo talaga na magkaron kayo ng chemistry, mas lalo na pag pamilya. Nakatrabaho ko na si Kyle before so nagkaroon na kami ng bond noon as well as Tito Joel Torre. So it was effortless. Yun yung magic, yung chemistry na hinahanap nila. I’m very fortunate na hindi ko kailangan trabahuin talaga. Organic na lang. And kasi, they’re all very generous characters. Kapag nasa harap kami ng camera hindi mahirap magbigay kasi sobrang generous nila magbigay as co-actors. While doing our scenes together, hindi siya naging mahirap. It was very heartwarming,” she admitted.
