American rock band Secondhand Serenade is set to stage a concert in the Philippines.

Concert organizer PULP Live World announced that the singer will headline a show in August in Manila.

"Hold your breath because this is the night we'll fall for @secondhandjohn all over again! The voice that defined an era of emo music, John Vesely, is coming to the Philippines to reignite our emo hearts and bring back the memories that shaped our youth," PULP posted.

"Secondhand Serenade Asia Tour 2024 Live in Manila" is set to happen on August 30 at the New Frontier Theater.

"Expect an unforgettable evening filled with a setlist of all your favorite tracks performed live and heartfelt performances that will take you back to the golden days of emo, and create new memories to cherish forever," the concert organizer added.

Tickets will go on sale on June 29, 2024, at 12 p.m. PH Time via Ticketnet PH outlets nationwide and online.

"Don't miss out on the opportunity to sing along to classics like 'Fall for You' and 'Your Call' in an atmosphere charged with emotion and energy!" PULP remarked.  

Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the concert.

"My emo heart mygaaaaahd," one fan commented.

"OMG!!! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS!!!" another fan wrote.

It was in February when lead singer John Vesely hinted that he would be visiting Manila soon.

"Visit Philippines John!" one fan commented on his Instagram page back in February.

John replied: "This summer :)."

John released the first studio album of Secondhand Serenade titled Awake in 2005. The album was promoted through social media platform MySpace. In 2006. Secondhand Serenade landed the No. 3 spot in Rolling Stone's Best MySpace Artist poll.

Other studio albums of the band included A Twist in My Story released in 2008, Hear Me Now in 2010, and A Naked Twist in My Story in 2012.

Among the band's tracks include "Fall for You," "Vulnerable," "A Twist in My Story," "Your Call," "Last Time," "Something More," "Shake It Off," and "Lost."
