Actress-director Bela Padilla broke her silence on X (formerly Twitter) after a video posted on YouTube shared that she supposedly tied the knot to her long term partner earlier this month. The Meet Me In St. Gallen actress was quick to shut down the rumors and urged her followers to report the video.

Bela is the latest celebrity to be targeted by fake news on social media.

She shared that fans have been congratulating her on the alleged wedding but she maintained that she hasn’t tied the knot just yet.

“Not married. Stop congratulating me guys,” she wrote.

Bela added that the thumbnail that the creator uploaded on YouTube came from a TV series from years ago. The video, titled, Just Now! THE INTIMATE WEDDING nina BELLA PADILLA at NORMAN WAY, has already reached 72 thousand views and is still up on YouTube as of this writing.

“Can we all please report this account that keeps spreading fake news. That clickbait photo is from a teleserye scene,” she added.

Meanwhile, fans of the actress showed their support in the comment section of her post and made sure to cheer her up. Some netizens shared that they reported the account already.

“Nasa venue na po ata sila HAHHAHAH,” a fan wrote.

“Excited na po kasi kmi makitang ikasal ka  at para may reunion ulit ang friendship neung AngBeKi,” another fan added.

“There's a lot in youtube, mostly yung pinapatong yung mukha sa ibang tao just for views.Kaloka,” a netizen shared.

Bela has been with her partner, Norman Ben Bay, for four years. The two celebrated their fourth anniversary earlier this year.

“To the person who supports my mission to finish Hogwarts Legacy on the PlayStation and will happily take over the stages that are too scary for me, happy anniversary ❤️ and I miss you,” Bela wrote.

“When we got together 4 years ago we were far apart and just learnt that we could not visit one another due to a global pandemic. We always had a bond that could withstand distance and time and we are proving it to each other. Incredibly excited for our life together,” Norman added.

Despite the long distance relationship, Bela and her partner are making it work for several years now.
