Kapamilya star Vice Ganda revealed in his latest vlog that he is still being judged by many critics for his 2013 rape joke about Jessica Soho. He shared that many would use the joke against him with every opportunity given to them.

Vice recalled his story to relate to Awra Briguela’s bar brawl incident last year where she was arrested for several charges filed against her.

“Paulit-ulit ang definition ng mga taong ayaw sa akin which is enough for them to not like me. Isa lang ang definition ko [for them]: I made a rape joke about Jessica Soho. Yun lang ang depinisyon ko sa mga taong ayaw sa akin, at habang buhay na nilang bibitbitin iyon para maging rason para magalit sila sa akin habambuhay,” Vice told Awra.

The Unkabogable star continued that despite everything else he did to make up for the bad joke, his critics never acknowledged it and continue to use the one mistake he committed over a decade ago.

“Other than that, wala na silang nakikita sa’kin. Hindi na nila nakikita ‘yung bagay na gagawin kong tama,” he added.

Vice has since then publicly apologized to Jessica after the incident to which the veteran broadcaster simply “acknowledged” the apology.

The It’s Showtime host advised Awra to face her critics and realize that not everyone will like them for who they are.

“Kailangan mo siyang harapin kasi kung bina-band aid mo siya, hindi siya [gagaling]. Kailangan mo siyang gamutin. Kailangan mong gamutin ang sugat. Hindi lahat ng tao, papaboran at magugustuhan ka. Kaya kailangan mong mag-adjust,” he advised.

“Kung ano mang gawin ko, they will not like me, they will hate me, and they only need one bad definition of me. And that is, Vice Ganda siya ‘yung nag-rape joke kay Jessica Soho at babalikan nila ‘yun para hindi sila mawala sa paniniwala na ayaw nila ako,” he added.
