Belle Mariano signs off as Caroline Tiu: ‘Money can buy temporary happiness, but it Can’t Buy Me Love’

Kapamilya actress Belle Mariano made a sweet sign-off message for her character, Caroline Tiu, from the hit Kapamilya series Can’t Buy Me Love.

On her social media page, Belle shared some behind the scenes photos from the show’s latest episodes, marking its nearing finale on free television this Friday, May 10.

“case closed.. will forever be grateful for going through this journey, we’ve created a family,” Belle wrote.

She later thanked all the directors, the production team, and the cast who worked hard to make a wonderful series that the viewers loved to watch.

“To our Directors, Cast, the Production, Crew, and to everyone that supported Can’t Buy Me Love, I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she added.

Belle also expressed how the memories she created in doing her first lead teleserye role made her experience a lot of things.

“As Caroline would say ‘add it to my tab’, this time I say ‘add this to my memories.’,” Belle continued.

She then ended her message with the lesson she learned portraying Ling in the series.

“One of the biggest lessons I learned as Ling is that Money can buy temporary happiness, but it Can’t Buy Me Love ❤️,” she said.

She went on: “Caroline Tiu aka. ShingaLing signing off.”

Along with Belle’s post were the wedding reception photos for her character's and Donny Pangilinan’s Bingo’s Filipino-themed wedding with their Tiu family and the Binondo team.

Belle also shared a sweet moment of herself and Donny looking over at the beautiful scenery and their cute selfie while eating their violet-colored ice candy.

Belle’s co-star, actress Kaila Estrada, who played her eldest step-sister Bettina in the series, commented, “love u sisterrrr ❤️ so proud of you. Always cheering you on - Achi ❤️.”

Her series stepmom Cindy Young Tiu, played by actress Agot Isidro, also wrote, “Love you and big big Congratulations, Ling ❤️❤️❤️.”

Her other co-stars, such as actress Chie Filomeno, who played her best friend Jersey; actor Rafael Rosell, who played Sherwin Yuchengco; Alora Sasam, who played Bierna; and her series dad, Rowell Santiago, who played William Tiu, also expressed their appreciation to Belle.

In a previous interview, Belle talked about the connections her, her co-stars, and crew made throughout the show’s journey.

“We finished taping last time, and grabe, we were so emotional. I’m so grateful for the entire cast and to everyone who supported Can’t Buy Me Love, it was such a journey and I thank everyone,” she said.

Belle shared that she gained a family with them and that they spent the last eight months together, four days a week.

“As time progressed and nagkasama-sama kami, I developed a family sa kanila,” Belle expressed.

Belle also reflected on how her journey in the series helped her broaden her perspective on acting.

“The entire journey doing Can’t Buy Me Love, it made me realize that there’s more pa pala than just acting. You develop something even more beautiful, and yung family and relationship mo with the cast,” she said.

“It’s a big help when it comes to portraying your character. Sobrang dami kong natutunan,” she added.
