Nicholas Galitzine is set to star as He-Man in the upcoming film Masters of the Universe.

The actor penned a message on social media as he announced his new role.

"'By the Power of Greyskull, I HAVE THE POWER!'  I’m so beyond proud to announce that I will be playing Adam, Prince of Eternia in Masters of the Universe. It has been a dream for so long to play someone of his heart, humour, and heroism, I cannot wait to get started," he posted.

Fans online were quick to congratulate him on bagging his new role.

"Do you realize the audience this will bring in for you? The entire comic book loving community and Marvel fans whom haven’t been introduced to you yet? This is HUGE for you, Nick. I’m so proud of you!! 😭 I can’t wait to see this!" one fan commented.

"Nick, you are NOT just talented, you are wildly gifted! Big CONGRATS landing yet another surprising role. Choosing roles must be one of many, many gifts," another fan commented.

The movie will be directed by Travis Knight who directed Bumblebee. It will be released in cinemas on June 5, 2026.

According to a report by Variety, Masters of Universe follows the story of "Prince Adam a.k.a. He-Man, who crashes to Earth in a spaceship as a child and, decades later, returns to his home planet to defend it from the evil forces of the baddie known as Skeletor. But in order to defeat the powerful villain, he needs to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man, referred to in this world as 'the most powerful man in the universe.'"

Julie Rapaport, head of film production and development at Amazon MGM Studios., expressed her excitement to have Nicholas on board as He-Man in the film.

"We’re thrilled to bring the beloved ‘Masters of the Universe’ to life and couldn’t be more excited to announce the immensely talented Nicholas Galitzine as our He-Man,” Julie remarked.  

She added: "This reintroduction of the character and his universe will be an epic film that will delight audiences from here to Eternia."
