"When two empowered women collide!!!" one fan commented.

"Finally! Two power women together," another fan wrote.

It can be recalled that Michelle donned an Apo Whang -od tattoo-inspired gown during the Miss Universe pageant in November of last year.

"A tribute to a legendary Filipina who has become an icon, preserving the rich cultural heritage of indigenous tattoo art. She has achieved global recognition and symbolizes timeless beauty, coinciding with Miss Universe lifting its age restrictions, championing inclusivity, and challenging age stereotypes," she wrote on social media about her evening gown last November.

She added: "A true icon and the last of her kind, a symbol of bravery, beauty, and inclusivity… Whang-od. This evening gown draws inspiration from the icon, with every stitch crafted passionately and proudly dedicated to our country. It is a creation by my friend and designer of dreams, @markbumgarner."

Apo Whang-od is a tattoo artist of Buscalan and is considered as the oldest mambabatok of the Butbut tribe in Kalinga Province.

Michelle is set to hand down her Miss Universe Philippines crown to her successor in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines coronation night on May 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Michelle finished in the top 10 of last year's Miss Universe pageant.

"Ultimately, I left it to destiny. Of course, it is not the result that we wanted, but I know as long as all of you are proud, as long as all of you saw the hard work and dedication that was made not just for myself but the whole team behind me as well, that's enough for me. I hope you are all happy," she said last year following the pageant's result.
