Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan was happy to be back in the country after six years since he last performed in front of his Filipino fans. The One Direction member brought his The Show concert tour to Manila last May 13 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

This event was made possible by Live Nation Philippines who has been bringing various international acts to the country.

Niall opened his show with his hit song "Nice To Meet Ya" which was met with a wild response from the thousands of fans present at the venue. He continued singing and didn't take any breaks in between until his sixth one.

The 30-year-old singer then expressed how good he felt to see his Filipino fans once more. He admitted how much he missed the warmth of his fans who continued to support him even if it has been six years since he last stepped foot in the country.

“It is so good to be in the Philippines, good to be back in Manila. Thank you so much for filling this place up for me. We’re here six years ago and I’ve missed you guys. It’s good to be back in town. We’re going to have a lot of fun tonight,” he shared.

He continued his highly-anticipated show with some more of his hit songs and even performed acoustic versions of some of them to which fans sang along.

Niall then made a surprise performance of One Direction’s "Night Changes" which made the crowd go wild as they relived their times as Directioners. He then revealed that because of the crowd’s continuous singing and cheering, he considered his Manila stop as one of his favorite nights of the whole tour.

“Thank you for one of my favorite nights of the tour, know that. This has been incredible, you are an amazing audience. Thank you so much for coming out to see us tonight. I hope you had a great time,” he added.

Niall also expressed his gratitude towards everyone who made the time and effort to watch him live. He acknowledged how difficult it is to purchase a ticket as not everyone is fortunate to do so, which was why he was grateful for everyone who came to support.

“In this day and age it’s not easy to just go to a concert. It’s not just a ticket, it’s flying, it’s cars, it’s planes–– all these mobiles. It’s people with parents with multiple children and students everywhere… I know it’s not easy to do so but you chose to spend your time and well-earned money on me. I really appreciate that thank you so much. I hope you had fun tonight,” he expressed.

He capped off the night with his hit song, "Slow Hands," to which the fans sang their hearts out. Niall assured his Filipino fans that he won’t take six years to come back to perform in the country again.

“Manila, it’s been a pleasure. I love you,” he closed.
