Members of South Korean girl group UNIS did their own rendition of BINI’s hit song, Pantropiko, as part of the cover medley they did for YouTube channel 1theK Originals. Filipina members of the K-Pop girl group, Elisia and Gehlee, were part of the lineup that covered the song.

BINI’s Pantropiko has reached over 16 million streams on the music streaming platform, Spotify, as of writing.

On their X account (formerly Twitter), BINI expressed their gratitude towards UNIS for a job well done in covering the song. They shared how surprised they were with the unexpected cover of their hit song.

“When the superwoman, #UNIS, meets the music of the tropical girls, BINI! Oh shux! Expect the unexpected cover!🥹🌴 Thank you @UNIS_offcl for spreading the tropical love,” the Filipina girl group wrote in the caption. 

Fans of both BINI and UNIS were surprised as well with the sudden cover of the song. They wrote in the comment section how happy they are to see how diverse music has been going lately.

“They are flexing their multilanguage and multinational line up to the world!?? and they are doing it in just 2 months of preparation for their debut! UNIS is really full of talent,” a fan wrote. 

“I hope BINI and UNIS can do a Pantropiko challenge soon,” another fan added

Apart from Pantropiko, UNIS sang several international songs as well such as Contigo, Texas Hold ‘Em, and Way 4 Luv, among others. The video has already received more than 750,000 views since its release earlier this week and is number six on the trending list of YouTube as of writing. 

UNIS is a girl group that was formed through the South Korean survival program Universe Ticket which aired earlier this year. Elisia was the first member to be part of the girl group after she earned enough votes from fans to secure the top position in the program.
