South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun has been making noise on social media once more due to his spectacular performance in the hit K-Drama Queen of Tears where he stars as Baek Hyun-woo, the husband of Hong Hae-in (played by Kim Ji-won).

This 2020 series became a hit not just in South Korea but globally as well. Kim Soo-hyun portrayed the role of Moon Gang-tae who is an orphaned caregiver working at OK Psychiatric Hospital. The series marked the actor’s return to the small screen after his military duties. 

My Love from the Star

Already considered as one of the K-Drama classics, this 2013 series showed the rising popularity of Kim Soo-hyun in South Korea. He played the role of Do Min-joon, an alien who landed on Earth and has been trying to make his way back to his home planet. Fans commended his insane chemistry with one of South Korea’s top actress, Jun Ji-hyun.

This 2011 series has one of the most iconic casts ever as it not only features Kim Soo-hyun but other talented actors such as IU, Suzy, Taecyeon, among others. It became a cult classic as it joined the Hallyu wave which was just starting to grow globally back then. 

One Ordinary Day

This web series proved to everyone the range of acting that Kim Soo-hyun has to offer. He plays the role of Kim Hyun-soo, a college student who became a key suspect in a murder case and has been falsely accused. One Ordinary Day was based on the British television series Criminal Justice.
