Miss Universe 2022 and fashion designer R'Bonney Gabriel took a trip to Divisoria to buy fabrics.

"Practiced my tawad, battled the heat, and fought the urge to buy all the fabrics in Divisoria," the Filipino-American beauty queen wrote on her Instagram page.

The beauty queen documented via Instagram reel her day in Divisoria and shared how she picked fabrics and clothing materials in the Manila shopping district.

"Today I am headed to Divisoria to pick up some fabrics. I actually used to come here a lot when I was a kid visiting the Philippines. I always remember coming to buy like Juicy Couture purses and different clothing," she said in the video.  

Fans online were quick to react to R'Bonney's shopping adventure.

"Ah can’t wait to visit the Philippines!!!! Specially the fabric district!!!" one fan said.

"Wow! Way to go promoting Divisoria! So down to earth! I am in awe!" another fan commented.

"So proud of you thank you for appreciating our country," another fan posted.

Following her reign as Miss Universe, R'Bonney shared that she will be going back and forth between New York and Manila.

"I definitely want to capitalize on this year and keep the ball rolling and I will stay in New York I was living there in the Miss Universe apartment and it's a huge fashion center so I want to do modeling of course and continue my sustainable fashion brand," the beauty queen said in a recent interview with ABS-CBN News.

R'Bonney added: "I love public speaking a lot. I want to continue it in New York and also in Manila, Philippines. Split my time back and forth."

Back in May 2023, R'Bonney also visited the Philippines and went to the place where her Filipino father grew up.

"To have the opportunity to come back to my father's home street and celebrate with the community makes my heart so happy 🫶🏻 We were able to hand out meals and provide school supplies for all the children. I loved seeing familiar faces," she shared on Instagram.

"I spent many summer days playing on this street as a child. From walking to buy pandesal in the morning, playing in the rain when it flooded, watching the fiesta parade, and sweating in the heat playing tongits on the plastic tables. I remember the warmth and kindest of the neighbors. This street showed me how different my life was in America and taught me how to be grateful for everything I have," she added.

"To be able to visit again after everything and give back to a place so close to my heart is one of the biggest blessings of Miss Universe ❤️🙏🏼."
