‘Under Parallel Skies’ director shares lesson from film

<p><em>Under Parallel Skies</em> director Sigrid Bernardo took to her personal Instagram earlier this week to share what she personally learned while making the highly-anticipated film. For the first two days, I could only write about two and half sequences. My mind was preoccupied with other things, and no matter how early I woke up or how late I stayed up, nothing seemed to flow,” she wrote.</p><p dir="ltr">The award-winning director then realized how, just like everyone else, she tends to overlook simple things in life such as watching the sun set. Those little things made her realize that sometimes she just needed to take a breather before moving on to the next step.</p><p dir="ltr">“It struck me how many times I had overlooked these beautiful moments in life. In a world where everyone is always rushing, we all need that unexpected pause. On the third day, I decided to take a break. Despite the impending deadline, I needed to reflect and appreciate the small joys in life,” she shared.</p><div dir="ltr"><a href="https://push.abs-cbn.com/2024/4/3/-under-parallel-skies-is-a-dream-come-true-for-win-metawin-800"><strong>READ: ‘Under Parallel Skies’ is a dream come true for Win Metawin</strong></a></div><p dir="ltr">“There are moments in life where you must make decisions and sacrifices for your own happiness. It’s not about being selfish; it’s about taking care of yourself. You deserve to be happy. Remember, you only have one life to live,” she added.</p><p dir="ltr">Just like how she is reminded to take a break, Sigrid encouraged her followers to give <em>Under Parallel Skies</em> a chance in the cinemas. She urged them to watch the film to experience the same thing she did–– a “deeper sense of happiness and fulfillment.”</p><p dir="ltr">“I invite you to experience our film, to treat yourself to moments of joy and reflection, and to remember that you deserve to be happy. This week is crucial for the success of our film and for the hard work put in by my producers. Thank you for your support and I hope our film brings you not just &#x27;kilig&#x27; moments, but a deeper sense of happiness and fulfillment,” she ended.</p><p><em>Under Parallel Skies</em> is now available in cinemas nationwide. </p>
