Actress Sue Prado felt touched as she was likened to the late actress Jaclyn Jose during the Q&amp;A portion of the film Your Mother’s Son’s special screening on Friday, April 12.“Unang una, thank you dun sa appreciation, nabanggit mo si tita Jane – si Jaclyn Jose,” she said.   Playing the matriarchal figure Sarah in the film, Sue went on to recall her relationship with the late veteran actress whom she referred to as a very good friend. She said, “Thank you sobra. She was a very good friend of mine, and you know what happened naman. And the level of relationship that I had with her – ‘yung kaya namin pag-usapan ‘yung craft. “Kaya siguro ayun eh, pareho kaming believer na bago ang lahat, pagsilbihan mo ang materyal, pagsilbihan mo ang character. Dapat klaro ang subtext sa’yo kasi ang katawan mo ang boses mo, ang verbal cues mo. Lahat susunod ‘yun eh, kung klaro ‘yung subtext mo. So tita Jane, it worked,” Sue continued. Directed by Jun Robles Lana, Your Mother’s Son made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023. The event will run from April 12 to 14, 2024 at the Gateway Cinemas in Cubao.
