The fundraising project made by girl group 4th Impact for their 200 dogs has been taken down from the official website of GoFundMe. This comes after several netizens and animal rights groups called them out on their irresponsibility.

4th Impact has yet to make a statement about the said issue. The singers are currently in Singapore as they watched the Eras Tour of American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. 4th Impact is composed of sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene, and Celina Cercado.

In their now-deleted post, the P-Pop girl group asked for help to raise funds for a proposed farm lot where they can put all their dogs. Sister Elvira shared that their neighbors have been complaining about the noise their dogs make especially during the time they were in the US for a tour.

“Our neighbors raised concerns about the noise, prompting us to make the heart-breaking decision to temporarily separate some of our dogs, particularly the males, from our home. This separation pains us deeply. You see, each of these dogs hold a special place in our hearts. We’re not just their caregivers; we’re their family,” she wrote in the description.

“That’s why we’re reaching out to you today. We dream of providing our furry friends with a safe and expansive farm where they can live out their days in happiness and freedom. It’s a dream born from our deepest love and dedication to these animals who have brought us so much joy,” she added.

The now-deleted fundraising campaign irked several netizens including the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and its Executive Director, Anna Cabrera. In their official statement on Facebook, the animal rights group expressed their disappointment over the girl group’s decision to breed dogs despite their limited capacity to take care of them.

“FAILING TO SPAY-NEUTER & THEN RAISING FUNDS FOR THE 200 DOGS YOU HAVE IS IRRESPONSIBLE… There are no regulations on pet breeding in the Philippines so almost everyone who has a purebred dog has gotten it from puppies birthed by a dog of a neighbor, a friend, or of a backyard breeder,” PAWS said.

”This gives rise to a multitude of genetic problems as a result of in-breeding and also does not help the cause of hundreds of thousands of unadopted dogs in pounds and shelters all over the country,” PAWS ended.

The future of 4th Impact’s 200 dogs remain unknown as of this writing.
