Kapamilya actress Iza Calzado is truly an empowered woman.

In her recent Instagram post, the 41-year-old actress shared some snaps from her previous maternity photoshoot where she celebrated her body and womanhood.

“When I look at these images, I am reminded of how powerful I felt when I was giving life to Deia inside me. It was the first time in my life that I fully embraced my body and the DIVINE POWER inside me,” she wrote.

She went on: “As I felt the life growing inside me, I vividly remember holding my belly as it dawned on me what great privilege and power I have been given to carry a child.”

The actress also honored every woman, ahead of International Women’s Day on Friday, March 8, who gave life—in all aspects—to everything they do.

“May every woman be able to tap into their power, in whatever way, shape or form. It may be by revolutionizing change in their own communities. Being a career woman or homemaker, being a creative or having a corporate job. Whether it is by nurturing a child, pets, plants or other people we have chosen as our family. You are giving life to another, yes, even art — and that is power,” she expressed.

Iza also highlighted how every woman must be heard and seen, and a woman should always feel worthy and enough.

“As we usher in International Women’s Day, may every woman feel worthy to take up space and be seen and heard. May every one of us feel more than enough,” she remarked.

The actress ended her powerful message with: “Celebrating and honoring my body for all that it has done for me and continue to do for me. I AM GRATEFUL. I AM A WOMAN. I AM POWERFUL!”

Fashion and lifestyle blogger Camille Co also said, “Love this so much! So, moving ❤.”

Former beauty queen Katarina Rodriguez also commented, “Mother has mothered!!”

“So beautiful, love this. It’s amazing how God design our body to be able to go through this kind of changes. 🙌😍💪,” a follower also stated.

Iza has been very vocal about uplifting woman empowerment and giving inspiration for body positivity and womanhood.

In her previous post, the actress shared a reel giving a girl boss vibe as she welcomed the month for all women.

“Stepping into Women’s Month feeling inspired and empowered! Celebrating all my fellow women who are all WORTHY of being seen and heard! Laban!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡,” she said in the caption.

In an article by Tatler Asia in 2022, Iza shared how important it is to have a month honoring every woman.

“It is important to have International Women’s Month because it celebrates how far women have come in the struggle for equality while creating important discussions around how far we still are in this journey. To this day, women still face a lot of challenges such as gender stereotypes, discrimination and bias,” she expressed.

The actress also highlighted how women's issues and rights should be heard and seen in society.

“I am no expert but what I do know is that the more we realize that we are not alone in our battles, the more courage we have. When we feel seen, we take that first crucial step into our power,” Iza remarked.
