Linlang actor and Kapamilya star Jake Ejercito expressed gratitude to late actress Jaclyn Jose.

The Kapamilya actor penned a message on his social media account on how the late actress became a big part of his life as a father and especially his and Andi Eigenmann’s daughter, Ellie.

“Of her many iconic roles, being a grandmother was one she cherished the most, especially to Ellie,” he said in a post with a photo of Ellie and her grandmother Jaclyn.

Jake also added, “I surely wouldn't have survived those early years of fatherhood without your guidance. We rolled with the punches together- anything and everything just for Ellie.”

The Kapamilya actor also noted how he would do his best to make sure that Jaclyn’s granddaughter would be okay despite her lola not being around anymore.

“You've left a void in Ellie's heart that we could only attempt to fill for the rest of our days. But I'll give it my best shot and make sure she'll be ok,” he remarked.

He ended his message with: “Maraming salamat sa lahat, tita. You were loved, (e)specially by your Ellie.”

Besides his heartwarming message to the late renowned actress, Jake also shared a conversation he had with the actress, expressing how she still treated him like her child.

“Jake na mi miss na kita n sobra. Anak. Pa din ang Turing ko sayo. Sorry sa ig kailangan ko Lang mamili. Mahal kita alam mo yan,” Jaclyn said in the message posted by the actor.

In a press conference on Monday, March 4, Jaclyn’s daughter, Andi Eigenmann, personally confirmed the untimely death of her mother at the age of 60 due to a heart attack.

“I announce the untimely passing of my Nanay, Mary Jane Guck, better known as Jaclyn Jose. At the age of 60, on the morning of March 2nd, 2024, due to myocardial infarction or heart attack,” the actress stated.

Andi also noted how her mother’s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of the people she worked with.

"Her undeniable legacy will definitely forever live on through her work, through her children, through her grandchildren, and the many lives she's touched as she herself, her life itself was her greatest obra maestra,” she said, as she tried to hold back her tears during their first media appearance after the news went public.

In an update posted by some personalities and news outlets, it was reported that the actress's remains were cremated. 

Andi was also seen kissing her mom’s urn before putting it on a stand surrounded by flowers.

As seen in a post by entertainment journalist Mell Navarro, Jake was one of the stars who personally paid respects to Jaclyn. He was also seen looking after his daughter and talking with Andi’s paternal brother, actor Gabby Eigenmann.

Claudine Barretto, Alden Richards, Christopher De Leon and wife Sandy Andolong, Lorna Tolentino, Tirso Cruz III, Allen Dizon, Amy Austria, Ivana Alawi, and Sylvia Sanchez were among other stars who visited the actress's wake and were seen comforting Andi.
