As she prepares for her self-produced concert L’Arte de Sheree next month, Sheree revealed that the event will be more than just her belting out her favorite songs on stage.

The former Viva Hot Babes member said it's about time she shows off her other skills and starts carving out her name as a performing artist than a sexy star starting this year. She conceptualized a show which will not only be a concert but will feature pole dancing and burlesque numbers as well.

“Siyempre I’m not getting any younger and my son is growing up and I’m very thankful naman for the opportunity na binigay sa akin ng Viva. Hindi ko talaga makakalimutan lahat ng mga projects na binigay sa akin, pero siguro it’s time for me to change something. Yung parang I have to reveal na yung skills na inaral ko. Hindi naman alam ng mga tao na that I really sing. So I really want to showcase my skills and my talents so I produced a show,” she shared during the L’Arte de Sheree media event.

Sheree revealed that she got the inspiration for the show after a trip to Europe and watching a performance there.

“[What] got me really inspired [is] when I went to Paris and I watched a show called Crazy Horse before the pandemic and I was blown away. Dun sa show na yun naman, everyone was really super sexy and naked. When I watched the show sabi ko, ‘Oh my God nakahubad silang lahat!’ Pero sobrang mind-blowing kasi after the show I forgot that they were all naked. So it was really the skill talaga yung pinakita nila and the performances. So I really want to share that to our fellow Filipinos and hindi naman nila kaya pumunta dun at manuod ng ganung klaseng show. I was given the opportunity so why not do it myself?

"This show is going to be something like that but it meets Cirque de Soleil and burlesque. Actually mixed siya na show. It has Broadway and some of the musicals na ginawa ko . Kakantahin ko rin yung mga songs. So it’s a different kind of entertainment for our Filipino kababayans,” she explained.

Even during her growing up years, Sheree said she had always been inspired by unique kinds of performances.

“Matagal ko ng dream ito eh. So I conceptualized the show along with the directors and choreographer. Tinulungan nila ako to put the show together and then I produced the show as well because I wanted to make it happen talaga.

"I remember before when I was a little girl, meron akong pinanuod na show entitled Encantadia na ballet naman siya. And tumatak sa utak ko yun. And you know what, wala pa akong na-experience na show after that. So siguro itong show na ito will also be something like that for yung mga generation na ngayon... kasi very open na yung generation natin for different possibilities and very wide na yung pag-iisip. So kahit na meron siyang mga sexy na hindi naman masyadong sobra, but it takes something na kailangan mo i-train for a time,” she explained. 

The show will feature a lineup of guest performers who are all close to Sheree’s heart, starting off with the Viva Hot Babes.

“Gusto ko ring maiba din yung mga ginagawa nila. In this show, you will see a different kind of Viva Hot Babes. Zarah Lopez, Gwen Garci, and of course kasama din si Rachel Lobangco who isn’t part of Viva Hot Babes but who will also be part of the show. And then Gian Magdangal will also be there and Jennifer Lee,” she added. 

But more than being just another sexy show, Sheree clarified that it’s not going to be purely sexy entertainment.

“It’s a very different kind of concert. It’s a mix of Broadway, Cirque de Soleil, and burlesque. But siyempre it’s catering to the Filipino market. Siyempre yung walang suot pero may suot. Siyempre hindi naman mawawala yun sa image namin,' di ba? But of course, we will be showing more of the skills talaga in this show. I’m very excited to share this with the Filipino market kasi ito yung hindi pa natin masyado na-e-experience and nung na-experience ko yun talagang I got inspired to do it in the Philippines talaga,” she said.
