Senior High actress Gela Atayde had a sweet message for her sister Ria Atayde and Ria's new husband Zanjoe Marudo. Gela expressed her happiness over the couple’s new journey.

“Two days late since I wanted to greet you all at once 'cause I know this is your happiest birthday yet @ria 🤍 Happy birthday and congratulations, ate!” Gela wrote.

She went on: “I know that when you first learned you would have a baby sister, you were apprehensive. But you have since transformed from being my first critic to becoming my unwavering champion, supporting me through all joys, challenges, and obstacles.”

 Gela also expressed her gratitude to her sister who has become a big part of her life.

“I couldn’t thank you enough for being my ate, my second mom, my mentor, and my closest confidante all in one. I am eternally grateful for the role you played in shaping me into the person I am today. I am the happiest seeing you this happy.❤️‍🩹,” she expressed.

The young actress also penned an emotional message to Zanjoe, whom she happily called to be her official kuya.

“Thank you for being the most genuine, supportive, and caring kuya to me, and now, ex-boyfriend to my ate. Your strong family values have always been a source of comfort, knowing that you would take care of not just my sister, but us siblings and your future family as well,” she said.

“Congratulations to the both of you. My heart is at peace in knowing that my sister is being entrusted to someone as loving and lovable as her. 🤍,” she added.

 She ended her message with: “I am right behind the both of you, sasalo at sasalo always in all ways. ✨”

Gela also shared some of her and her sister's moments during the intimate civil wedding ceremony and their trip together.

She also included a video of herself and Ria hugging each other tightly and a photo of herself crying at the wedding. 

“Last pic: yes, I needed one box of tissue as an iyakin 🥹,” she penned.

Ria then commented, “Love you guaps. Thanks for everything 🤍”

Zanjoe and Ria announced their marriage on Monday, March 25. 

As per Zanjoe’s post-birthday greeting for Ria, the two already got married on Saturday, March 23, the same date as Ria’s birthday.

“03.23.24 Happy Birthday MY WIFE ❤️,” Zanjoe wrote, officially announcing their marriage with some photos from their special day.

In February this year, the couple also announced their engagement after two years of dating.

As per reports and posts on social media, several celebrities and friends attended their wedding, including Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Joshua Garcia, RK Bagatsing, Jane Oineza, Darren Espanto, Dominic Ochoa, Yubs Azarcon, Bayani Agbayani, LA Tenorio, and Ria’s brother Arjo Atayde and wife Maine Mendoza. 

On their social media page, Nice Print Photography shared some snaps from Ria and Zanjoe's intimate wedding.
