Park Min-young talked about the preparations she did for her role in the hit Prime Video series Marry My Husband.

The Korean actress relayed that it was the first time in ten years that she had her hair cut short.

"Actually in the show, it’s shorter," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Min-young also shared that she made the decision to go bare face for the first time in front of the camera when filming her role.

"I’ve stood in front of the camera with a completely bare face. I challenged myself in many different ways. That’s what I tried out in terms of external aspects," she stated.

In Marry My Husband, Min-young plays the role of Kang Ji-won, a devoted wife with cancer who finds out that her husband is cheating on her with her close friend. Ji-won was killed by them but she gets a chance to start over when she wakes up 10 years earlier, giving her a second shot at life.

Min-young shared that she did reflect a lot on the struggles of her character to deliver an authentic performance.

"Getting everything stolen by other people and losing everything, the shock of getting Ji-won's destiny stolen, I could empathize with her more through that imagination process so that method was the most helpful for me,” she stated.

The Korean actress said that it was the script that made her say yes to doing the project.

"This was the script I was holding onto until the end. My biggest reason [for joining the series] was that if [the script is] something that I can finish in one sitting like this, that our viewers will also follow along," she said.

On what she thinks make the show appealing to a lot of viewers, she highlighted that it is the time travel element.

"Because there’s the rule that it’s undeniably impossible, it makes you imagine and want to experience it,” she explained.
