Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and actor Sam Milby’s agency, Cornerstone Entertainment, released a statement regarding rumors circulating about the relationship of the celebrity couple.

On Wednesday, February 28, the couple’s agency clarified that the two are currently resolving issues together as they face some challenges in their relationship.

“We at Cornerstone, as the talent management agency representing artists Sam Milby and Catriona Gray, would like to address the recent rumors surrounding their relationship. While it is true that Sam and Catriona are currently facing some challenges in their relationship, they are actively working on resolving these issues together,” the agency stated.

Cornerstone also thanked everyone for their support and love for the couple and requested all to respect their privacy.

“We kindly request that everyone respect their privacy during this time as they navigate through this situation. We appreciate the concern and well wishes from all those who have shown support for the couple,” they said.

The beauty queen was also liked the statement posted on the entertainment agency’s Instagram account.

Earlier this year, Catriona and Sam became a hot topic online as the former beauty queen titleholder was not seen wearing her engagement ring at several events.

Netizens also speculated that the two might possibly call off their engagement as Catriona and Sam were not giving updates on their wedding preparations when they were asked.

However, early in February, talent manager and entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz debunked the rumors himself as he was able to personally speak to the manager of the two.

“Hindi ako nanaginip, talagang nagtanong ako. And I quote the manager of Catriona and Sam Milby, si Erickson Raymundo, dahil may nagtanong rin daw sa kanya non. Sabi ni Erickson, hindi niya alam if may event na hindi naisuot ni Catriona ‘yung engagement ring,” Ogie said.

The entertainment columnist also added that the manager actually didn’t feel the need to ask the couple about their relationship status as they had been seen in public hanging out with celebrity friends such as John Prats and Isabel Oli.

“Oo daw merong mga pagkakataon na hindi niya suot. Pero hindi na daw tinanong ng manager kung okay ba sila kasi the other day naman magkasama sila with John Prats and Isabel Oli,” Ogie remarked.

He also added: "Hindi totoo na hindi tuloy ang kasal ni Sam and Catriona. Tuloy na tuloy."

On February 25, Sunday, Isabel Oli shared a photo of herself with Catriona and Sam sitting side by side during her trade launch event with the Cornerstone artists and team.

“Thank you for this pics Ate , very timely for Sam x Cat,” a netizen wrote in the comment section.

Another netizen commented, “Praying really hard for Catriona Gray and Sam Milby to stay together 🙏.”

Catriona and Sam confirmed their relationship to the public back in 2020. Since then, the two have kept their relationship private.

In 2023, the celebrity couple announced their engagement.
