Cristine Reyes confirmed that her marriage with mixed martial artist Ali Khatibi has been annulled for more than a year already. The actress shared this information in an interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda earlier this week.

Cristine and Ali tied the knot back in 2016 and called it quits just a few years after. The former couple share a daughter, Amarah, and have adopted a co-parenting setup that works for both of them.

When asked by the veteran host about the status of her annulment, she revealed that it’s been more than a year since it was finalized.

“Matagal na, Tito Boy. Yes po, like more than a year,” she shared.

Despite the marriage being annulled for more than a year already, Cristine explained that she didn't want anyone outside her family to know it back then.

“Kasi, Tito Boy, hindi ko naman siya in-announce eh. It's not something I should celebrate,” she explained.

Both Cristine and Ali have their respective partners already following their breakup. The actress has a serious relationship with actor Marco Gumabao while the MMA fighter has a non-showbiz girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Marco revealed in the same interview that they are talking about settling down together. He shared that they’ve been taking things slow but are open to marriage already.

“Of course. Basta ang usapan namin is ay 'yung future together. Pero 'yung details or kung ano of course konti-konti, pero 'yung long view 'yun ang napag-uusapan namin, yes,” he expressed.

In a previous interview, the actor shared that he is open to becoming a father figure to the actress’s daughter.

“Well yeah, siyempre. Like yung mga friends ko inaasar ako. Pero it’s fun. It’s also a sense of responsibility. Kumbaga kung dati ako medyo happy-go-lucky. For the longest time I wasn’t in a relationship. But now of course everything was like 180 [degrees] for me, which I like. Siyempre hindi na ako bumabata di ba? Tumatanda na ako,” he previously shared.

Cristine and Marco revealed their relationship to the public through their Instagram posts in April of last year. Several netizens were surprised by the revelation but expressed their support for the couple.
