She added that she prepared a lot during her break as she wanted to make sure her fans would see the best version of herself –– now as a solo artist.

The 19-year-old singer added that the lyrics of her debut song were completely written by her. She shared that after hearing the demo of the single, she knew it would be about love, which made her love the vibe of the song.

Despite leaving YGIG, Darlene assured everyone that there had been no bad blood between her and the rest of the members of the P-Pop girl group. She revealed that they were actually very supportive of her solo debut and wished her well in her career.
