Filipino-French businessman Christophe Bariou revealed his first impression of his longtime girlfriend, Nadine Lustre. In his newly-established broadcast channel on Instagram titled Food for thought, he recalled how hardworking and purpose-driven the actress was when they first met. 

Christophe and Nadine first met back in 2021 on the island of Siargao.

“My first impression: Yes, she was cute, but what immediately stood out was how, even on holiday with friends, as soon as she arrived she was hard at work on her laptop while the others relaxed by the pool with cocktails. She came across as someone very purpose-driven and (maybe a little too) hardworking,” he recalled.

The Filipino-French businessman added that he didn’t know how popular his girlfriend was at the time they met. He admitted how he wanted to stay low key from the public eye but after having a deep conversation with her, he realized how alike they were with one another.

“When I eventually learned she was 'kind of famous,' I initially thought, ‘Never mind, no way, I don’t want drama.’ (Always been trying to stay low key). But after talking to her one-on-one, I realized we had a lot in common, and she was surprisingly down-to-earth,” he ended.

Fans of the couple shared his answer all over social media and expressed how kilig they were with how their relationship started and how it’s going.

“Kilig ako mga bi! Parang pang Wattpad,” a fan shared.

“Awww, kinikilig pa rin ako sa love story nila,” another fan added.

Previously, Nadine shared in an interview with Boy Abunda how she met Christophe in Siargao through a common friend.

“We stayed in another place but one of my good friends kasi is working for him... So she asked him [if] we can go to his spot because there's a secret beach there where there's no one there most of the time and it's really peaceful. 'Yun 'yung kung saan nagmi-meet 'yung ilog tsaka 'yung dagat,” Nadine previously shared.

She added how she found him “cute” already from the beginning. 

“My friend kasi were talking about him already and they were saying na, 'Oh, he's actually really cute.' And then when I saw him I'm like, 'Okay fine, he's actually kind of cute,'" she said.
