After a seven-year hiatus, American rock band Linkin Park released their much-anticipated eighth studio album, From Zero, on November 15 (US time). The album features the band’s signature sound alongside new elements, marking the start of a new era for the group.

Composed of band members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell, Joe Hahn, Colin Brittain, and new vocalist Emily Armstrong, From Zero includes eleven tracks, kicking off with an intro that introduces their fresh musical direction.

“FROM ZERO marks the group’s first full-length offering since 2017, and officially launches the next era of LINKIN PARK,” a press release stated.

To celebrate the album’s release, Linkin Park held a livestream listening party at Allianz Park in São Paulo, Brazil, where they debuted the first six tracks from the album.

In addition, an exclusive listening party was also held in the Philippines on November 11, featuring OPM rock bands Chicosci and Typecast through Warner Music.

Before the album’s official release, Linkin Park dropped their new single, “Two Faced”, on all streaming platforms, accompanied by a music video.

The band describes the track as “holding nothing back,” blending their signature sound with “grainy distortion, chaotic turntable scratching, airtight rhymes, and a cathartic chorus.”

Another standout track, “The Emptiness Machine”, has already reached major milestones, ranking as the No. 1 rock song and the biggest rock song of 2024 on both the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart and Alternative Airplay Chart.

Alongside the album, Linkin Park is gearing up for the second leg of their From Zero World Tour, which will begin on January 31, 2025 in Mexico and conclude on November 15, 2025 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The tour will visit cities across the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Canada, Germany, France, Denmark, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

The band will be joined by special guests including Queens of the Stone Age, Spiritbox, AFI, Architects, grandson, Jean Dawson, JPEGMAFIA, and PVRIS.

In September, Linkin Park announced the new era following a long hiatus after the death of their lead vocalist, Chester Bennington.

The band shared their excitement about the new chapter, with Brad Delson writing: “Beyond excited to share this new chapter with the world.”

“Bringing our vision to life is the culmination of many twists and turns, as we continue our unique journey together as a band. We couldn’t do it without a belief in what is possible, even when things seem impossible; without the ability to listen, particularly when emotions run deep; and without the support and love of everyone around us. Thank you thank you thank you,” he added.

They then officially welcomed Emily and Collin as new additions to the group, saying: “In awe of @emilyarmstrong and @colinbrittain for their talent, passion, and partnership. Deep gratitude to all my bandmates for their humility, hard work, and friendship.”

Brad continued, “Fresh eyes, honest appreciation, and devoted teamwork have brought us to this special moment. The privilege of sharing our creativity with you. Thank you for joining us on the journey.”
