Basketball player Kiefer Ravena recently shared an update on his wedding plans with fiancée Diana Mackey, following their surprise engagement.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Kiefer revealed that the couple has not yet finalized any wedding details, as they are still settling back into their routine after their recent trip.

“Wedding plans, wala pa. Very surface level pa lang hindi pa talaga namin napaguusapan since ayon nga kababalik pa lang namin sa Japan and medyo nagsisink in pa rin kung ano yung medyo ano namin ngayon, yung reality,” Kiefer said.

He also mentioned that both he and Diana are currently focusing on their careers.

“We are enjoying each day and there’s responsibilities (pa). Ako pabalik pa lang ako so siya pabalik pa rin sa work. A whole different challenge itself (pa),” he added.

Kiefer explained that he chose to propose to Diana while they were abroad, believing it was the right time and person for him. 

“The next chapter of my life, more than anything else siguro it's the right timing, right person,” he expressed.

“Ako rin nasabi ko na rin sa sarili ko na I think I needed a different sense of motivation, of inspiration into my career so this is it,” he continued.

Both of their families were already aware of their engagement, and the couple has been focusing on their relationship.

“My family is very supportive. Her family is very supportive.  We were just focusing on us more than anything else,” he said.

Meanwhile, Diana described the proposal as something straight out of a movie.

“It happened in Japan while crossing the road. I had no idea. Wala akong feeling whatsoever. It happened while crossing the road. He hired parang street photographers. Ayun akala ko picture lang with street photographers and then he proposed,” she recalled.

She went on: “Obviously I was shocked. Parang speechless. I didn't know how to react. He knelt, I said yes. It feels like a movie.”

The Pinoy Big Brother alum also shared how she’s enjoying their new chapter, saying: “I’m happy, very happy. It's still sinking in. Hindi pa siya nagsisink in for me. It happened. I'm just enjoying the moment, my fiancée life.”

On October 27, Kiefer’s birthday, Diana made their relationship Instagram official, sharing a sweet birthday message for him.

“Happy birthday @kieferravena15 🙈 the best plot twist of my 2024 😆,” Diana said.

“Getting to know you has been the craziest yet most exciting adventure. You are the most hard working, passionate, caring person I know and you continue to amaze me everyday. Couldn’t be prouder of you and all the amazing things you have and will accomplish. 🥹💙 Cheers to celebrating our first of many birthdays together! Mahal kita 🫰,” she continued.

Diana also teased, “P.S. can’t wait to watch you play live and be the annoying overly supportive girlfriend sitting on the bench 🙃1️⃣5️⃣ 🥳.”

Kiefer also posted a carousel of photos with Diana, simply captioning it with an infinity symbol.

The couple later surprised their followers when Diana posted a photo showing off her engagement ring.

“Suddenly I’m left handed 🙈 @kieferravena15,” she wrote.

Kiefer replied, “Forever and after that. 🤞🏽🥹❤️.”
