Park Eun-bin and Cha Eun-woo are set to star in a new series on Netfix.

The streaming giant confirmed on Friday, November 1, that the two stars will headline a superpower comedy series titled The WONDERfools.

They will star in the show alongside Kim Hae-sook, Choi Dae-hoon, Im Seong-jae, and Son Hyun-joo.

According to a press release by Netflix, "set in the doomsday-fearing year 1999, The WONDERfools is a superpower comedy action adventure that follows a group of awkward townies who unexpectedly gain superpowers and fight villains threatening the peace of Haeseong city."

Park Eun-bin takes on the role of Haeseong City’s most lovable "trainwreck," Eun Chae-ni. With her wit and charm, Chae-ni stumbles through life in 1999, finding herself caught up in strange events that unexpectedly grant her superpowers.

Meanwhile, Eun-woo plays Lee Woon-jung, a socially awkward civil servant from Seoul. Principled and meticulous at work, he’s a mysterious figure who teams up with Chae-ni in a quest to track down a series of missing people in Haeseong City.

Hae-sook stars as Kim Jeon-bok, Chae-ni’s grandmother and sole family member, who runs a popular Haeseong restaurant and carries a glamorous but shadowy past.

Dae-hoon portrays Son Kyung-hoon, the perpetual complainer of Haeseong City Hall, while Seong-jae plays Kang Ro-bin, Haeseong’s most submissive figure. Both characters gain quirky superpowers after an incident with Chae-ni and, despite their limitations, join her to take on villains, adding humor to the story.

Son Hyun-joo brings tension as Ha Won-do, a character driven by dark motives.
