Production company Project 8 Projects has confirmed that Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin are reuniting for a movie.

"HUYYY!!! ito na ang COMEBACK na hinihintay niyo!! 👀 After more than 2 decades, MARJO (Marvin-Jolina) is back on the big screen!" the film outfit announced.

The movie will be titled Ex Ex Lovers and will be directed by JP Habac.

"See you sa mga sinehan next year, mga ka-XXL! #ExExLovers," Project 8 Projects said.

The movie will be in co-production with Cornerstone Studios which also revealed the other cast members of the film.

"A JOLINA AND MARVIN COMEBACK MOVIE?! 😱 Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal are returning together to the big screen for Ex Ex Lovers under the direction of JP Habac. The film also stars Juan Karlos Labajo and Loisa Andalio," the film outfit said.

This movie marks the first film collaboration between Cornerstone Studios and Project 8 Projects, following their successful partnership on the productions of Replacing Chef Chico for Netflix and Drag Den Seasons 1 and 2 for Prime.

Fans online were quick to react to the news.

"THANK YOU FOR THISSSS ARRRRGHHHHH MARJO FOREVER," one fan said.

"Yey!!! "I'm so happy. the comeback movie we all deserve!" another fan wrote.

It was in 2019 when Dan Villegas of Project 8 Projects first teased about the reunion movie.

Jolina and Marvin previously headlined the film a Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang? in 1998.

In a 2018 interview with Jolina, the actress-host shared that if they were to work on a reunion project, they’d love for it to be a film connected to Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang?

"Gusto namin pelikula eh. Either co-prod or talagang hands on kami dun sa project, dun sa istorya, sa lahat. Basta gusto namin something na kontektado sa Labs Kita, Okay Ka Lang? Kasi 20 years na 'yung pelikulang 'yun eh. So anong nangyari kay Ned at Bujoy talaga, di ba?” she said.
