Bela Padilla and JC Santos's hit movie 100 Tula Para Kay Stella is set to have a sequel.

CinemaBravo revealed the upcoming title of the sequel on Tuesday, October 8.  

"Blockbuster hit 100 Tula Para Kay Stella sequel is finally pushing through with the title 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, with Bela Padilla and JC Santos reprising their roles," the entertainment page announced.

The movie is written and directed by Jason Paul Laxamana. The sequel delves into the lives of Fidel and Stella, set more than a decade after the original's events.

Bela also took to social media to pen a post following the announcement.

"Never in my life have I been more…sure 🥹 #100AwitParaKayStella," she posted on her Instagram page as she shared still photos from the first film and a screenshot of her conversation with JC about agreeing to do the sequel.

JC then commented on Bela's post, expressing his excitement saying: "Kaps! Exciting 'to."

The actress also shared a clip from the first movie on her Instagram Stories which features the emotional confrontation between Fidel and Stella.

"This was so hard to shoot because we had so many camera angles and for more than an hour, [JC] and I had to sustain our emotions. So we would hide behind a tree (on the right side of the frame) and we would just talk to each other as Fidel and Stella," Bela shared about shooting the scene.

She went on: "We said everything our script didn’t dictate us to say. And to this day, only JC and I (and maybe our audioman if he was listening to us in between takes) heard Fidel and Stella’s thoughts. And I knew from this moment that I would always work with JC. And we would always have each other’s backs."

The first movie 100 Tula Para Kay Stella was released in 2017. It centers on a college student who writes 100 poems dedicated to Stella, a woman with dreams of becoming a famous rock star.

Viva Films previously reported in August 2017 that the film has grossed ₱80 million.

The release date of 100 Awit Para Kay Stella has yet to be revealed.
