Kris Aquino opened up about her cancer scare recently.

On her Instagram page, the television host revealed that the cancer scare stemmed from the result of her PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan.

"The abdominal area, specifically my colon area lit up," she shared. "I'm normally very brave. But I broke down in tears after my doctor left. My nurse and the SLMC nurse saw me and said they had never seen me so sad. My mom's oncologist had come in, and it felt surreal."

As per medicalnewstoday.com, PET scans "can light up tumors in the body and help doctors determine if they are cancerous or benign (noncancerous)."

Kris was alarmed with the result because members of her family had colon cancer including her mom Corazon Aquino and her grandmother. "I share the same blood type as my lola Ma and my mom," she said.

Fortunately, after further assessment, the doctor determined that Kris is cancer free. "Clear intestines. No visible sign of cancer," she relayed.

Kris expressed her gratitude to those who prayed for her health.

"Thank you. I know you've been praying but I didn't reveal what else specifically you were praying for. But God is listening even when we're not specific because He sees what's in our hearts," she stated.

However, Kris shared that she has now up to 6 autoimmune conditions. "The scary part is that 3 of the diagnosed ones are life threatening in other words - pwedeng ma-damage my vital organs or my blood vessels, specifically my artery, connecting my lungs to my heart to the extent na I can die immediately from a stroke or aneurysm or cardiac arrest," she revealed.

Amid her condition, Kris remarked that she will continue fighting. "I promised myself bawal sumuko. I need a goal, something for all of us to look forward to," she said.

The television host then revealed that she has been working on a show with Darla and Jasmin (executive producer of Kris TV).

"Secret muna 'yung concept, but you will get to see my present day journey and as much as possible the reaitly of Kris, Bimb, and my 'through the years' best friends (my extended family) and definitely my team of doctors who are now among my most trusted friends," she shared.
