Kaori and Jeremiah’s new series, Halfmates, tells the story about two individuals whose lives get entangled after being scammed by someone who sells them their dream house. Kaori will play the role of Dani, a young and jolly OFW who returned to the country to start a new life, while Jeremiah will play James, a quiet, structured and strict guy.

"I think that being - somehow the talkative, family-oriented, bubbly, just smiling, that's how and maybe he won't be offended, I'm the same," Kaori told PUSH when asked what were her similarities on her character in the series.

Halfmates director, Raz Dela Torre, also commended the two rising stars as they naturally have chemistry and look after each other to give their best in their scenes.

"They study their scripts, and they also support each other. So I'm glad because sometimes I just come in to help them improve a scene, I see them (already) on monitors talking on their own. Then they settle," Direk Raz shared.

"For me, I hope this is the start that somehow the work of the two of us will go straight, of course we are not closing the doors for the opportunities but yeah I am happy that I can work with Jeremiah again now and next time" Kaori said.
