TJ Monterde remarked that his song becoming part of a movie soundtrack is an answered prayer.

The duet version of TJ and KZ Tandingan's "Palagi" became the theme of the upcoming film Hello, Love, Again starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards.

On his Facebook page, TJ shared his reaction video to the trailer of the movie which has "Palagi" as the OST.

"Tagal ko nang prayer 'to," he wrote. 

The singer went on: "'Lord, pahingi naman po movie soundtrack. Gusto ko lang po talaga marinig song ko sa big screen ulit.'

'Ok. Wait ka lang konti… I have the perfect movie for you.'

TJ: 😳😭😭."

Fans online were quick to congratulate TJ.

"I'm beyond happy! When I first listened to the 'Palagi' TJxKZ version, I thought of this movie. Congrats sa inyo, kuys," one fan wrote.

"This is what happens when you trust the process because great things takes time. God bless you both. To God be the glory!" another fan wrote.

In a previous interview with On Cue, TJ shared that "Palagi" was a song he wrote for KZ.

The singer relayed that it was at a surprise dinner when he first sang the song to KZ.

"It was a dinner for two, sobrang nagulat siya, garden dinner siya. It was May 29, 2023. It was last year... [I told her] 'May 29, 2013, exactly 10 years ago was the day I met you.' That was the story of the song," he shared.

The singer continued: "We had dinner and I sang this song for the first time. [I told her], 'We're ten years na magkakilala but still I want to reassure you na kahit anong mangyari, kapag napaligiran ng ingay at gulo di ko ipagpapalit 'yung ngiti mo sa mundo, palagi."

TJ shared that his wife became emotional when she first heard the song.

"That's the first time na narinig niya 'yung song and naiyak din siya and I really put my heart into this song," he stated.
