Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino stunned netizens after sharing his body transformation on social media last January 3. He showed the difference his body went through in under a year for his role in the hit Prime series, Linlang, where he had to gain several pounds for his role.

“My 2023 in a nutshell. Swipe right,” he wrote.

Paulo shared two photos which showed his massive body transformation. One of the photos he uploaded showed the weight he had to gain which made him lose some of his muscles. Meanwhile, the other photo he uploaded showcased his six-pack abs.

Friends and fans applauded him in the comment section of his post. They stated how dedicated the Linlang actor truly is for his roles as seen in his body transformation.

“Witnessed (still witnessing) the grind, bro. Proud of you,” Drew Arellano commented.

“The most dedicated actor that we have. Thank you for all the hard work Pau to give us quality content,” a netizen added.

“Victor, mahal kita thru thick and thin, unlike kay Juliana na ipinagpalit ka nung tumaba ka,” a netizen joked.

Previously, the Kapamilya actor shared that he had to sacrifice other roles just for Linlang due to his weight gain. He revealed that the preparation he had to go through for his role as Victor helped him become even more disciplined.

“Actually, parang siguro isang sacrifice, na kinailangan isakripisyo yung pagtanggap ng ibang proyekto dahil hindi angkop dun sa look ko. And nagtataka yung ibang tao parang nagpabaya daw ako,” he said.

“Pero it was all to prepare for Linlang. Kumbaga yung dedication ko na binigay sa proyektong ito, binigay ko talaga. Hindi ako tumanggap ng ibang proyekto para matutukan ko ito. At the same time, ang dami ko ring disiplina na ininstill sa sarili ko para ma-achieve yung sa tingin ko makakatulong sa show in some way in terms of believability,” he added.

Meanwhile, Linlang is set to air on television this year after its successful run on Prime. Paulo is set to return to acting as well with Kim Chiu in the remake of the South Korean series, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.
