Actress Empress Schuck revealed earlier this week on her Instagram account that she suffered from a miscarriage. She shared with her followers that she was expecting twins with her husband, Vino Guingona.

Empress and Vino have another child, Athalia, who turns 10 years old this year.

“This year, we would’ve been a family of four or even five. From two embryos, to one, then to none. I’m still not sure how to talk about it. I just know that sometimes our plans for ourselves don’t align with God’s plans for us,” she wrote.

The actress added that her husband has been her source of strength throughout the whole ordeal. 

“To my husband [Vino] who’s been by my side and making sure I feel alright through this puzzling experience, you are truly God’s blessing to me,” she added.

“We may not exactly understand how we feel about this but having each other is enough to say that everything will be ok. To our family who showed us care and love, thank you and we appreciate all of you,” she ended. 

Empress’s Instagram post was met with a lot of love and support both from her friends in the showbiz industry and loyal fans. Some netizens shared their experience with miscarriage and how they eventually got over the unfortunate event.

“Sorry for your loss. It will happen when you’re ready again. Stay healthy. Keep the faith,” a netizen wrote.

“God wanted a perfect time for them but knowing that still doesn’t make it any less painful. Sorry Em. It must’ve been really difficult to go through this for you and the whole family. Just take it easy, keep the faith and always let God’s timing prevail,” a netizen added.

Empress and Vino tied the knot in a private ceremony held at the Hillcreek Gardens in Tagaytay––six years since they started dating.
