Actress, dancer, and entrepreneur Dawn Chang celebrated her birthday by reflecting on what she learned about loving life behind the scenes as she turned 35 on Monday, January 29.

In her recent Instagram post, the Pinoy Big Brother alum shared a photoshoot she did for her birthday.

“Glitz and glamour is nice but I still prefer a life behind the scenes filled with purpose and real success because truth is, fame doesn’t necessarily equate to success,” Dawn penned.

The actress and businesswoman also noted how she is still a work in progress.

“Acknowledging accountability for the times when my pride and ego are stronger than love and respect is my ultimate mantra in life. At 35, I am a continuous work in progress - a life long commitment I have with myself,” she said.

She continued: “At 35, I’m like a fine wine.. I get better with age. 😉 Cheers mga accla! I’m rockin’ 35 today! 🥂”

Dawn’s partner, Attorney Ralph Calinisan, the executive officer of Quezon City People’s Law Enforcement Bureau (PLEB), also took to Instagram a message for his girlfriend with whom he wasn’t able to celebrate due to a work-related schedule.

“Dear Dawn, Happiest birthday to you.😃 I'm very sad that I couldn't share this moment with you this year because of work. Alam mo naman how important this trip is. Please know that I'm thinking of you each moment here,” he wrote.

The lawyer also sent his thanks to Dawn for being an understanding girlfriend.

“Thank you for understanding what I do, and the road less traveled that I have chosen to pursue,” he said.

He continued: “You really are the best thing that ever happened to me. The world should know how wonderful you are as a person and a partner. I am thankful to God for you.”

He also added how Dawn supported him and made his life happier.

“Thank you for helping me, and supporting me, positively change our country for the better—one small step at a time. Kaya ko dahil nandyan ka. Ang saya ng buhay dahil kasama kita. I love you,” the lawyer said.

Celebrities and other personalities also sent their birthday greetings to the 35-year-old personality.

“Happy Birthday, Dawn Chang!!!!!! 😘❤️😘❤️,” Nag-aapoy na Damdamin actress Kim Rodriguez said.

Dirty Linen actor Christian Bables also commented, “Happy birthday, Dawn! You are celebrated not just today, but everyday! ❤️🥂.”

“Happy Birthday @thedawnchang (Dawn Chang) ! We love you!” actor Eric Fructuoso wrote in a caption on his Instagram story which Dawn reposted.

Actors Randy Santiago, Loren Burgos, Joj Agpangan, and Viveika Ravanes, as well as French Filipina golfer Emilienne Vigier also sent their birthday greetings to the actress in the comment section.

Dawn previously introduced her boyfriend to the public when she posted a photo of themselves during his birthday celebration in October 2022.

“Para sa napaka espesyal na tao sa buhay ko. Maligayang kaarawan sa iyo. May God continue to protect and guide you dahil napakabuti ng puso mo. Kasama mo ako sa kahit na anong laban. Mahal kita,” Dawn penned in the caption.
