South Korean star IU released her "Love Wins All" music video starring BTS member V late night on Tuesday, January 24.

Uploaded on her YouTube channel, IU and V starred in a cinematic music video which tells a heartbreaking love story in what appears to be a post-apocalyptic future.

With IU’s soothing voice and beautiful message of the song, the emotional music video starts with the two stars running together hand-in-hand seemingly trying to get away from a floating cube.

The two then entered an abandoned mall, trying to hide from the floating object.

The two started to roam around and saw a camcorder that shows a vision of how they would look like before the tragic events.

Feeding their fantasies, IU and V went on a mock dinner date and enjoyed their time together. They even wore wedding clothes and had fun in a photobooth.

The sweet romantic moments ended as the cube entity caught up to them.

Although they tried to fight it, the couple found themselves accepting their destiny and faced the entity as it took them away.

The 5-minute cinematic video was directed byConcrete Utopia director Um Tae Hwa and was filmed before V enlisted in the military as part of his mandatory service last December.

As of this writing, the music video has now reached over 9 million views and 1.8 million likes 16 hours after it was released. The MV is also in the number one spot on YouTube’s trending music list.

The pre-release track is one of the songs included in IU’s upcoming comeback album after over two years.

The song was originally titled "Love Wins," however it was changed after a controversy arose as netizens found it inappropriate for IU to use a phrase commonly associated with the LGBTQIA+ rights movement.

"We decided to change the title to respect and support everyone who loves in their various ways, and we accept the opinions of those who express concerns that precious messages might be blurred due to the title," IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, said in a statement.

"We deeply hope that the original message of the song is delivered without leaving any scars on anyone, as every love wins all in the world with no hatred," the agency added.

IU is coming to the Philippines to perform her "H.E.R." tour at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on June 1.

Her Asian tour includes various cities such as Singapore, Yokohama, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taipei, and Osaka.

The South Korean singer previously had her Love Poem tour in the country in 2019 which she called the ‘perfect concert’ as Filipino fans surprised her with their high energy.

“Everyone has a different opinion on what a 'perfect concert' means. Some may say a perfect concert is a concert without any mistake or it could be something that the audience feels highly satisfied with. But, at that time, I think it was a perfect concert in a whole new way,” IU said.
