"We are very good friends."

These were the words of Heart Evangelista after getting asked about her reaction to Jericho Rosales posting about their old paper dolls on social media recently.

"I heard that he will be here, or surprise ba? Oh, it's not a surprise na," Heart said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Both Heart and Jericho recently attended an event for a massage chair brand.

In a now-expired Instagram story, Jericho was very amused to find old paper dolls of him and Heart inspired by their roles in Panday.

The two stars headlined the series from 2005 to 2006. 

In the series, Jericho played the role of Tristan and Panday, while Heart portrayed the role of Eden and Camia.

They became a couple until they ended their relationship in 2008.

In an interview with G3 San Diego in 2020, Heart opened up about her relationship with Jericho, revealing that she made many discoveries about herself during that time.

"I think that part of my life, that whole experience with me fighting for my independence and all of the rebellious acts that I did at that time was really one of the best times of my life," she stated.

The actress added: "That was me becoming a lady, a woman and really discovering myself, my strengths and weaknesses. Although I still ended up being very weak at that time because I was just very confused because of my family."

Last March 2023, Heart also had a reunion with Jericho in a get-together with their fellow Star Magic artists under the leadership of former Star Magic head Johnny Manahan.

"About last night 📸🖤 🕰️. Growing up together was fun... seeing where life has taken all of us is pretty cool 🖤," Heart posted on her Instagram page last year.

Heart is now married to Senator Chiz Escudero while Jericho is now married to Kim Jones.
