Korean singer and actor Cha Eun-woo is set to make his solo debut this year.

In a report by Naver as translated by Soompi, Eun-woo's agency Fantagio announced the news saying: "Cha Eun-woo is preparing his first solo album with the goal of releasing it in the first half of 2024."

The agency further revealed that the Korean star will perform his new songs for the first time during a fan conference in Seoul.

"In particular, he is preparing with the objective of unveiling the songs from his solo album for the first time on stage at his first fan-con, which is scheduled to be held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium on February 17, so please show lots of anticipation," the agency stated.

Aside from his solo debut, Eun-woo is currently gearing up for his “2024 Just One 10 Minute" fan meeting tour.

One of the countries where he will be staging the tour will be the Philippines on March 16.

The Korean star will also be headlining the fan meeting in South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Eun-woo debuted as part of K-Pop group Astro in February 2016 with the release of their first EP Spring Up.

In 2022, they released their latest studio album Driver to the Starry Road which debuted at number one on the Gaon Album chart and at number 10 on the Oricon Albums chart.

The record produced the single "Candy Sugar Pop."

Eun-woo is currently starring in the series A Good Day to Be a Dog. It marked Eun-woo's return to doing romantic-comedy.

"It’s been about three years since I’ve done a romantic comedy. And when I was offered the role I had a lot of concerns, so I discussed with the director upfront about this," he shared in a previous report by The Korea Times.

He added: "I felt I could show a more upgraded version than I did in True Beauty… When we discussed how I could express things differently, I thought it could be an interesting job. Even though the genre is the same, I felt that I could portray (the character) in a more enjoyable way."

Other acting projects of the Korean star include Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, Gangnam Beauty, and Island, among others.
