Last Sunday, September 24, a netizen named Ryan Bilbao uploaded photos and a video of his chance encounter with Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla in Madrid, Spain.

Ryan wrote: “So mao to, on my way home ganiha, I bumped into Daniel Padilla!!!!!! So humble!!! Di man jud ko moinom pero niinom kog ahat kay Daniel bitaw 🤣. Plus gipadala pang Empe nako hahaha ❤️😭

Him: Taga san ka sa Pinas?

Me: Biliran po

Him: Ah waray-waray!

Me: Gamay lang

(May pas Daniel, kabalo pag asang Biliran ❤️)”

(So yeah, on my way earlier I bumped into Daniel Padilla! So humble. I don't usually drink. But since it was Daniel who asked me to, I did. Plus, he gave me a bottle of brandy.

Me: Biliran.

Him: Ah Waray-Wray.

PUSH reached out to Daniel and his team to ask about his trip to Spain, including the much-talked-about fan encounter.

Daniel, also known as DJ, is currently in Spain at the invitation of his Emperador Brandy family.

He is touring their offices and vineyard, accompanied by his siblings JC, Magui, and Carmella, for a special getaway together.

Although DJ has been to Spain before for work (he and reel-and-real partner Kathryn Bernardo shot Barcelona: A Love Untold in the country in 2016), this is his first time visiting Madrid, where Emperador has its headquarters.

DJ's team includes his Star Magic Manager CapLuz Bagalacsa, Talent Agent for his Emperador endorsement Abby Aguilar Niesta, family representative Armando Cruz Jr. (known as Kuya Dho to DJ's fans), members of his glam team Hair and Make-Up Artist Ryan Ko and stylist Ryan Viloria, and two Philippine representatives of the liquor brand.

Grupo Emperador Spain's Global Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer Ángel Serrano and Chief Financial Officer Javier Garcia, on the other hand, are personally overseeing their visit.

During their trip, they enjoyed visiting the Daramezas vineyard in Toledo before returning to Madrid.

While relaxing at Bodegas Rosell, a local bar and restaurant, DJ and some members of his party encountered a fan named Ryan, who asked for a photo. DJ was happy to oblige and even offered Ryan his own glass for a "shot puno." Señor Serrano even gifted Ryan a bottle.

According to DJ, he is thoroughly enjoying the culture and cuisine in Madrid. It's a special trip for him and his siblings, who are experiencing Spain for the first time.

Little did they know that this fan encounter would soon spread online.

Talent agent Abby recounted that they were in Viva Madrid for dinner with Team DJP and their hosts when they received PUSH’s questions about the fan encounter. They were taken by surprise as they were unaware the story had already started circulating online.

Viva Madrid holds a significant place in the hearts of Filipinos as it was the favorite restaurant of national hero Jose Rizal during his time in the country. Rizal and Graciano Lopez Jaena were frequent visitors and often used the place to discuss the reforms they wanted to bring to the Philippines.

During their visit, Daniel and his siblings took the opportunity to appreciate the historical landmark and took photos of themselves at Rizal's favorite spot.

Meanwhile, Daniel's manager, CapLuz, has promised that fans will soon have a glimpse of their Madrid adventures as they have been taking many photos and videos during their trip.
