Thousands of Filipino fans got to meet 2PM member and actor Ok Taecyeon at the Manila leg of his "SpeacialTY" fan meeting held at the New Frontier Theater on Saturday, September 23.

Taecyeon admitted he felt happy to be back in the country after 10 years. He last set foot in the Philippines in 2013.

"It's been ten years and once again I am very grateful for all the love and hospitality and this great response from you guys. I am very grateful," he said during an interview on stage in the show.

When asked about the inspiration behind the fan meet title "SpecialTY," he shared: "It's like the [word] specialty and I just wanted my name Taecyeon to be in the title as well. But I really wanted to have this fan meeting to be very special for me, as well for you guys so I came up with the name 'SpecialTY.'"

In his fan meeting, Taecyeon performed various 2PM songs, including "Toc Toc Toc," "Champagne," "Promise (I'll Be)," and "Hands Up." He also performed iconic OPM band Side A's "Forevermore."

Aside from his performances, he also read handwritten messages from fans.

In another segment, he also played a game, wherein he would be sharing the stories behind the photos projected on stage.

Taecyeon debuted as a member of 2PM in 2008.

During a press conference on Friday ahead of his fan meeting, the K-Pop idol was asked how he would describe the past fifteen years of his career.

"I say probably some time flies, that's like the most adequate quote I could probably use. It really feels like it was yesterday when we all debuted in 2008 and now it's 2023. I feel very old now that I'm saying that. But then again I've learned a lot of things from my experiences. I've gotten wiser," he remarked.

On the next acting project that he wants to do, he said: "I do wanna expand my spectrum as an actor but since I've been known for my physique, I do actually want to try something that would allow me to show my physique a little bit more than the characters that I have previously done. Those kind of roles, maybe like a boxer or like a swimmer."
