K-Pop idol and actor Ok Taecyeon shared what Filipino fans can expect from his Manila fan meeting titled "SpecialTY" happening at the New Frontier Theater on Saturday, September 23.

At his Manila press conference, Taecyeon shared that he will be unveiling a new song to his Filipino fans at his fan meeting. 

"Actually I prepared a lot of new stages for Philippines. And I mean every city I go to, I prepare something new every time. And this time, I am going to sing a new song just for you guys," he said.

"I'm actually little bit nervous about it but then again I am very happy to share it with you guys tomorrow so please come to the show and see what happens."

It had been ten years since Taecyeon stepped foot in the country when his group 2PM performed a concert here. 

When asked what was his memorable experience visiting the Philippines before, he replied, "It was very hot that's all I can remember but then again, it was for our 2PM concert and as a group of 2PM all we remember were Philippine fans were so supportive, so loud, they were so energetic It felt like all the fans were on stage performing with us."

When it comes to his career as an actor and a singer, Taecyeon remarked that his fans are his motivation.

"My motivatiion is first and foremost I would say the fans. It's what gets me going every time I go to work, every time I perform, every time I'm showing on TV or movie screen wherever, without you guys it is basically meaningless so I think the fans [are] the biggest motivation of my life to keep going," he stated.

On his ultimate goal as an entertainer, Taecyeon said that he wants to try more different roles in the future.

"I do want to expand my spectrum as an actor because every time I do very light or very bright, comedic genre, and then I do very dark one, and then I do a bright one I try to keep expanding my horizon for my acting spectrum. I do wanna try different roles. I do want to see what other characters I can put myself into," he stated.

What is his secret to longevity in the entertainment industry?

"I think it is bascially the same thing as my motivation. I think it is the fans. I think if it wasn't for [their] support and love, I don't think I could do anything this long or longer as we go along. It's about growing together. I think it's that," he remarked.
