South Korean actor Park Seo-joon is the newest ambassador of health and wellness company IAM WorldWide.

"Let's all welcome our newest Global Ambassador, South Korean actor Park Seo Joon!☝️🤩 He’s a talented actor who stars in the recent Netflix hit movie Dream and he will soon make his Hollywood debut in the highly anticipated superhero film The Marvels," the company posted on its Facebook page.

IAM Worldwide President and Founder Allen Marvin Yu Eder said that choosing Seo-joon as their ambassador will pave the way for their company to further connect with the millennial and Gen Z market.

"Mr. Park Seo-joon is the embodiment of our company's values and aspirations. As a global icon, he effortlessly resonates with the youth, making him the perfect ambassador for IAM Worldwide," he said.

Following his sports film Dream, Seo-joon started working on his latest movie, Concrete Utopia, which is now showing in South Korea. 

The movie tells the story of the residents of the last remaining apartment building in Seoul after the city was struck by a strong earthquake.

In the movie, Seo-joon plays the role of Min-seong, a man who is willing to do everything to protect his wife Myeong-hwa (played by Park Bo-young) amid the disaster.

"Min-seong always puts his family first. My character is very similar to my father, who is a loving family man. I took after my father in terms of feeling responsible and protective about my family. Much of the character was inspired by him," he remarked.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Herald POP, the actor shared why he hasn't been doing romantic-comedy films lately. 

The last rom-com he did was What's Wrong With Secretary Kim in 2018.

He explained that he wants to continue pursuing projects beyond the romantic-comedy genre.

"Since I’ve been greeting fans through the romantic-comedy genre, I wanted to go on to work on other genres. Rom-coms are all different, but I wanted to make a genre change and didn’t want keep missing the fun," he said in the interview.

He went on: "Of course, I like romcoms, but I think it’s a difficult genre. I’m not saying that I won’t do it, rather, I have a greater desire to do other things."
