After seemingly confirming that he is now a father, Diego Loyzaga took to social media to share a new snap with his newborn child.

The photo, posted on Thursday, August 24, shows the 28-year-old actor doting on his baby daughter while at Busselton Jetty in Australia.

“Somebody liked the beach,” he wrote in the caption.

Family and friends of Diego commented on his post, including his mother, Teresa Loyzaga.

“Pochola! My heart is full,” wrote Teresa.

Sunshine Cruz also reacted to the photo using three heart-eyed face emojis. Her daughter, Sam Cruz, who is Diego’s half-sister, also left a heart emoji, with the words, “baby girl.”

Diego surprised his social media followers in June when he posted a photo of himself holding a newborn child, in an apparent confirmation that he is now a father.

“The best birthday gift ever,” he captioned the photo.

His father, Cesar Montano, confirmed all speculations in July when he talked about his grandchild during a press conference for his TV5 series Minsan Pa Nating Hagkan ang Nakaraan.

When asked whether he’s met Diego’s baby, Cesar said, “Sa picture pa lang. Naiwan yata abroad. Siya [Diego] pa lang ang bumalik dito to make a film.”

"Ngayon babalik siya uli doon. Hindi pa niya dinadala rito. Excited na nga akong makita sa personal,” he added.

At the time, Cesar also shared his advice for his son, which is to be a hands-on father.

“I trust Diego a lot that he will be a better and responsible father. Siya pa lang excited na kinukuwento niya sa akin," he said.

"Ako mag-i-spoil d’yan sabi ko,” he added.

Diego has yet to open up about becoming a first-time father. The actor’s last public relationship was with Barbie Imperial. He was most recently rumored to be dating former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Franki Russell.
