Phil Younghusband and his wife Margaret are expanding their family.

The former Philippine Azkals striker, 36, announced on Thursday (August 23) that they are expecting their second child together — a baby girl.

Sharing photos from their family pictorial with Nice Print Photography, Phil wrote, “Soon to be a family of 4. Our hearts are bursting with so much love and joy.”

“Feeling truly grateful, blessed, excited and beyond happy to share that we are expecting a baby girl soon! Thank you @niceprintphoto for capturing our special milestones,” he added.

Phil and his wife are already parents to three-year-old son Philip James, who was born in July 2020.

The two have been married since 2019. They celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last July.

“Happy 4th Wedding Anniversary to my beautiful wife!!! It seems like yesterday, we were preparing for our special day and now here we are with our growing family. What an incredible journey it’s been so far,” Phil wrote in a sweet tribute to his wife on Instagram.

“Can’t wait for all of the years to come. I love you more and more each day,” he added.

Margaret also marked the special milestone with a touching message for her husband.

“Happy 4th Wedding Anniversary mi amor @philyounghusband10. A new beginning of our lives started four years ago today. Our biggest adventure yet and we have so much magic left to discover,” she said.

Phil, along with his brother James Younghusband — also a former footballer — are now based in England.

After playing football for 13 years, Phil announced his retirement from the sport in November 2019.

The Younghusband brothers were former reserve players for the English Premier League team Chelsea before joining the Philippine Azkals in 2006, where they contributed to the rising popularity of the sport in the country.
