Local concert promoter Epic Events broke their silence on the recent issue which involved the dropping of former child actress Kristel Fulgar as the host for the Seo In-guk fan meeting in Manila. In their official Facebook post, the Angeles-based production company stressed that they had “exhausted all efforts” to have her up onstage.

This came after the company drew flak from the fans on social media calling out their supposed “unprofessionalism.” They explained how it was not their decision to drop Kristel as a host at the very last second.

Kristel was then replaced by former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Karen Bordador who also explained how she got the opportunity to host.

“We exhausted all efforts to have her part of the program; even to just have one song number/duet with Seo In-guk for the fans but as mentioned in the vlog, the decision to have her no longer host was not from our end,” they explained.

Epic Events added that they are grateful for the amount of professionalism that the former Kapamilya actress gave even though she had prepared for the hosting duties already.

“We would like to thank Kristel Fulgar for her professionalism and being a class act all throughout! ❤️ She was one of the earliest to arrive and was already at the rehearsals at 7 a.m. and gave positive energy to everyone,” they added.

Meanwhile, Kristel released a vlog to explain what transpired prior to her being dropped as the official host of the highly-anticipated event. She shared how surprised she was after finding out that her lack of energy during rehearsals was the reason she was dropped by the South Korean management.

“Since rehearsal 'yun hindi ako sanay na ibigay ang 100 percent ng energy ko. So kung nakulangan sila sa energy sa rehearsal sabi ko po 'I will do my best.' Nagi-expect ako na ipapaakyat ulit ako sa stage para maipakita ko 'yung 100% na sinasabi ko pero hindi daw and currently nagco-contact na sila ng ibang host,” she narrated.

Though Kristel didn’t get to host the event, she had the opportunity to meet the South Korean singer-actor up close and personal. She posted various photos of their interaction on her social media accounts.
