In 1985, Sharon Cuneta starred in the drama Bituing Walang Ningning where she played the role a devoted fan-turned-singer Dorina Pineda.

Aside from her iconic confrontation scene with Cherie Gil who uttered the classic line, “You’re nothing but a second-rate trying hard copycat!” the film is now making a resurgence in pop culture via a meme because of a line in the movie’s main theme song. “Bituin Walang Ningning” includes the line, “Balutin mo ako sa liwanag ng iyong pagmamahal.” The meme refers to the act of taking home food from the buffet after get-togethers and parties.

In a recent guest appearance, the Megastar admitted that she is aware of the meme and gave her reaction when she saw posts about it online.

"Kasi minsan may buffet, nagugulat ako bakit may picture ako doon. May ekis pa. Parang 'No Parking.' Bawal magbalot!” she said. 

During the show, Sharon also sang her classic song from the 1985 film.

Sharon also gave some words of advice to those who have made it a habit to get food to bring home after parties. "Paalala lang po. Kung kayo po ay naimbitahan, maghintay po muna hanggang nakakain na ang lahat ng bisita bago maglabas ng mga lalagyan. Nakakahiya naman po," she added.

During Sharon’s performance of “Bituing Walang Ningning,” co-hosts Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola could be seen at a buffet area bringing food containers as a nod to the meme which pokes fun at guests who always make sure to bring home leftover food.

Last month, Sharon posted photos on social media revealing her newest co-stars in an upcoming film project. The Megastar was excited to share that she will be working with Alden Richards, Tonton Gutierrez, and Miles Ocampo in the film “A Mother & Son’s Story” under Cineko Productions will be directed by Nuel Naval with a script by Mel Del Rosario.

She also confirmed that she will be playing the role of Alden’s mother in the exciting, new project. This will be the first time that Sharon and Alden will be working together.
