Maine Mendoza celebrated her upcoming nuptials to Arjo Atayde with a fun bridal shower thrown for her by her family and closest friends over the weekend.

Photos and clips from the pajama-themed party were shared online by Arjo’s mother and Maine’s soon-to-be mother-in-law Sylvia Sanchez.

Sharing her message for Maine, the veteran actress said, “Happy to welcome you to our big happy and crazy family. Soon!!! Mrs Maine Mendoza Atayde ka na.

“Can’t wait for the Big Day. Love you, my soon to be Daughter in law,” she added.

Spotted in the photos were some of Maine’s friends in showbiz, including fellow actress Maja Salvador and beauty queen MJ Lastimosa.

In the comments section of the post, Maine expressed her gratitude to Arjo’s family for organizing her bridal shower.

“Aahhhh thank you so much Roco, Campo, and Atayde family for last night. Had such a wonderful time with everyone. Thank you, tita… future mom!!! Love you,” Maine wrote.

Maine, 28, and Arjo, 32, are set to tie the knot sometime this year. They got engaged in July 2022 after four years of dating.

“Definitely the wedding is in the works but that’s all I can say for now. We’re preparing for it. I’m enjoying it. And definitely it’s within the year. It’s also part of what we’re planning right now. Surprise na lang (laughs),” Arjo said in a previous interview.

Earlier, Maine shut down reports circulating on social media that her wedding with Arjo will be featured on television, stressed in a tweet, “I am the last person to publicize a personal affair.”

Maine and Arjo have been together since December 2019.

During an appearance on Magandang Buhay last May, the Cattleya Killer star opened up about his desire to start a family with Maine after their wedding, revealing that he wants to have at least three children with the actress.

"Whatever it is that we could have in the future, definitely in the near future it's part of our plan. Kung ano ang ibigay ng Diyos. But definitely three at least in God's time, or let's see," he said at the time.
